___________

Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) are entry-level healthcare providers that specialize in pre-hospital emergencies. Their speed and effectiveness on the scene play a vital role in the lives of the patients they come in contact with.

EMTs respond to emergency calls that range from car accidents, 暴力的创伤, 心脏病发作, 分娩和跌倒. 急救医生执行基本的, noninvasive interventions to stabilize patients and transport them to receive further medical care in places like hospitals.

EMTs often work with ambulance services, fire departments, hospitals and other rescue services.

要成为一名急救医生,你必须:

  • Turn 17 years of age by the last day of the month in which your written exam is scheduled
  • Attend and successfully complete an NYS DOH Bureau of EMS approved EMT course such as ours
  • Successfully complete the NYS DOH BEMS cognitive  and psychomotor certification examinations

Our EMT course consists of 190 hours of lectures and hands-on skill training.  A field internship is also required and students will have no less than 10 live patient contacts prior to course completion.  We develop knowledge and skills necessary to confidently respond on the job and successfully complete the NYS certification exams.  Students who successfully complete the course and psychomotor exam are eligible to become national registered EMTs.  欲了解更多信息,请点击下面的链接.
